What is A. Film?
A. Film, located in beautiful Copenhagen, is Scandinavia’s largest, most ambitious animation company.
Founded in 1988 by four animators and a producer who met on the Danish feature film Valhalla, it is affiliated with A. Film L.A. (USA) and A. Film Estonia.
This A. Film group of companies produces classical hand-drawn and CGI animation for feature films, TV series, shorts, educationals, commercials, and games for the international market. A. Film is renowned for its high quality feature films and tv productions, offering a wide variety of styles, and it has been one of the first studios in Europe to successfully produce CGI feature films on any kind of budget, high or low.
A. Film is responsible for OVER HALF of all cinema tickets sold in Danish Cinemas for Danish animated features since 1976, with 10 of the 34 produced films to its name, all within the top 19, which sold an average of 263,240 tix each (the "other half" only averaged 77,300). Of course this is peanuts in relation to A. Film's co-production "Flight Before Christmas" ("Niko and the Way to the Stars") which was seen by over 34 million TV viewers in the US alone, now a classic holiday special, directly following the classic Frosty the Snowman on CBS since 2008!
A. Film Production produces all possible kinds of animation, computer-generated, hand-drawn, cut-out or stop-motion, for
Theme park dark rides
We are EXPERIENCED in all of these diciplines, making complete productions or sub-contracted parts.
To make the best possible product within the allotted budget and time.
Good stories, strong concepts, worlds of visual opportunities -
those are the things that fascinate us! With our love of animation, we want to fascinate you as well!

A bit of history...
Since its inception in 1988, A. Film has made 13 own feature films, co-produced 4 more, sub-contracted on 31 others; made over 600 commercials, over 200 hours of television, several shorts and specials, as well as lots of other productions.
Here's a short "summary:"
A. Film has produced a variety of well-known hand-drawn feature films such as “Jungle Jack” (aka “Jungo I”), “Amazon Jack” (aka “Jungo II”) and "Help - I'm a Fish!," “Asterix and the Vikings" and “Pettson & Findus – The Tomte Machine.” “Terkel in Trouble” (the best selling Danish film in 2004) has been A. Film’s and Denmark's first fully CGI animated feature film. A. Film made a slew of CGI features during the past few years: “The Ugly Duckling and ME!,” "Jungo goes Bananas,” “Journey to Saturn,” ”Niko and the Way to the Stars,” (a.k.a. "The Flight Before Christmas"), it's follow-up "Niko 2." Our recent releases “The Olsen Gang Gets Polished" and "The Olsen Gang in Deep Trouble," CGI continuations of the famous live action film series, were big hits, and even the lesser well-known property Albert outperformed its direct competitors this year.
Apart from working on own productions, A. Film has subcontracted for companies such as Walt Disney Feature Animation, Warner Bros
Feature Animation, Don Bluth Studios, MGM Animation, Columbia Pictures, Fox, Sony, Kiddinx, Egmont Imagination, Carlsberg, Lego, Philips, Coca Cola and Kellogg’s.
